Site/Works Manager Yorkshire UK

  • Responsible for the day to day operations on site.
  • The management of employees, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure the safe and effective delivery of contract works
  • Ensure works are carried out in the most efficient manner possible to achieve optimum commercial results for the contracts under their control
  • Ensure contract programme is managed and meet.
  • Ensuring all work is completed to an acceptable quality standard and in compliance with specification
  • Ensure adequate resources are in place for contracts under their control
  • Co-ordinate pre-appointment and co-ordination meetings with Sub-Contractors and Specialist Suppliers.
  • Necessary skills and requirements:
  • Have a minimum of 5 years construction project management experience.
  • Have strong leadership skills
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Have excellent people management and client skills
  • Have a strong knowledge of latest building regulation and certification standards
  • Have a sound knowledge of current construction techniques
  • Have strong attention to detail
  • Have a proven track record of delivery within a construction management function
  • Thorough knowledge of computer applications such as Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project etc.
  • Have a clear understanding of current Health & Safety legislation
  • Ideally have a minimum of a Hons Degree in an Engineering/construction related discipline or strong trades background.
