Oversee the implementation and application of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and procedures across all operational areas. Lead and manage the HSE team, providing guidance, support, and training as needed. Develop and maintain the HSE management system, ensuring compliance with relevant company regulations and standards. Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and risks and take proactive steps to mitigate them. Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses and implement corrective and preventive actions to prevent their recurrence. Coordinate with other departments and external stakeholders to promote a culture of safety and environmental management. Monitor and analyze HSE performance indicators. Participate in emergency response planning and simulations and ensure readiness to handle emergencies effectively. Stay up-to-date with emerging HSE trends, technologies, and best practices and incorporate them into the organization's HSE programs. Represent the company at HSE-related meetings, forums, and regulatory inspections.
Job Requirements and Skills Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field;
- Proven experience in HSE management roles, preferably in construction or mining;
- Solid knowledge of ISO 9001; ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards;
- Solid knowledge of MS Office tools and AutoCAD (preferential);
- Fluent in French (spoken and written);
- Communication effectiveness;
- Planning and Organization;
- Team work;
- Mobility availability.
