Job Summary
The Finance Officer is responsible for managing the accounts payable process, ensuring the accurate processing of invoices, timely payments, and adherence to financial regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Review, validate, and record invoices to ensure compliance with contracts and purchase orders.
- Coordinate with the treasury department to ensure efficient payment processing.
- Monitor outstanding payments and analyze their impact on the company’s cash flow.
- Maintain regular communication with suppliers to address any issues related to invoices and payments.
- Resolve payment-related disputes and negotiate credit terms with suppliers.
- Conduct bank reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial records.
- Prepare detailed accounts payable reports, including payment status and financial forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with tax and regulatory requirements related to payments.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.
- Identify and implement improvements in the accounts payable processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Automate repetitive tasks to optimize operations and enhance productivity.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or Commerce.
- Completion of CPA, ACCA, or an equivalent certification is required.
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency in SAP and MS Office tools.
- Strong adherence to deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong multitasking and time management abilities.
