Tyre Supervisor (m/f) (EN)
The Tyre Supervisor is responsible for managing and overseeing the replacement and repair of tyres on heavy and light machinery used in mining operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of heavy-equipment tyres, including their specifications, performance characteristics, and applicable safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise tyre replacement and repair activities on heavy equipment (up to R57) and light vehicles.
- Schedule and carry out regular tyre inspections to compliance.
- Keep track of the inventory of tyres, tubes, and related materials.
- Train and lead a team of tyre technicians and maintenance staff.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations related to tyre operations.
- Analyze tyre performance data and recommend improvements.
- Follow the tyre maintenance schedules and procedures of the company.
- Respond promptly to tyre emergencies and breakdowns.
Requirements:
- Training in Mechanics or Automotive Industry (preferable).
- Proven experience in tire-related operations.
- Solid knowledge of heavy machinery and tire specifications.
- Valid driver's license and ability to operate heavy equipment (preferable).
- Familiarity with health and safety standards.
- Leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in English (required).
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to work in outdoor and industrial environments.
