Mining Project Manager (EN)

Lead and oversee all phases of a large-scale mining project, from planning and mobilization through execution and close-out; Lead the overall project management process, ensuring compliance with contractual, budgetary, and safety requirements; Develop and implement detailed project plans, schedules, and cost control strategies; Supervise multidisciplinary teams (engineering, HSE, logistics, etc.) and maintain effective communication across all project stakeholders; Ensure project milestones are achieved on time, within scope, and on budget; Manage interfaces between the client, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal departments; Promote a strong safety culture and adherence to environmental and quality standards; Prepare and present regular progress, cost, and performance reports to management and the client.

 

Job Requirements and Competencies Profile

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Geology or Geotechnics;
  • Minimum 10 years of experience, in a similar role, preferably in an open-pit gold mine and in adverse conditions - high altitude and negative temperatures (required);
  • Proven track record managing EPC or infrastructure projects in international environments;
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (PMBOK, Primavera, MS Project);
  • Fluency in English, Armenian and/or Russian language (required);
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills;
  • Strong technical expertise;
  • Strategic thinker with hands-on approach;
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability;
  • Team-oriented, proactive, and able to work under pressure;
  • Committed to safety, quality, and continuous improvement;
  • Availability for mobility, to work on a rotation schedule in remote locations.
