Drill & Blast Manager (EN)
Planning, executing, and optimizing drilling and blasting operations in mining activities. Developing drilling and detonation plans, considering the geological and geotechnical characteristics of the mine, production objectives, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards established by the company and current legislation. Ensure the proper use of explosives, complying with legal standards, in order to maximize blasting efficiency and minimize environmental impacts. Monitor and evaluate the performance of Drill & Blast plans, adjusting practices and methodologies to optimize results and reduce costs. Provide training and technical support to the operational team.
Job Requirements and Competency Profile
- Higher education in Mining Engineering or similar areas;
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years' experience in Drill & Blast operations in open pit mines;
- Advanced knowledge of drilling, blasting, and explosives techniques;
- Knowledge of drilling and blasting software;
- Certification in operational safety, including the use of explosives;
- Fluency in French;
- Ability to work under pressure and deadlines;
- Teamwork;
