Job Summary
The Security Supervisor will oversee security operations for the Tilenga Project, ensuring the safety of company assets, personnel, and facilities. This includes supervising in-house security officers and subcontractors, coordinating with the client’s security team, enforcing security policies, and mitigating risks through efficient coordination and monitoring.
Roles and Responsibilities
• Supervise in-house security teams and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with security policies and procedures.
• Coordinate and collaborate with the client’s security team to align security measures and protocols.
• Monitor surveillance systems, access control, and patrolling activities to prevent security breaches.
• Oversee incident response, investigations, and reporting to senior management and law enforcement.
• Conduct security audits, and risk assessments, and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure security subcontractors meet contractual obligations and performance standards.
• Organize training sessions for security teams on emergency response, risk mitigation, and best practices.
• Liaise with project managers, safety teams, and external security providers to enhance security operations.
• Prepare and submit regular security reports detailing incidents, operations, and improvements.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
• Diploma or equivalent in Security Management, Law Enforcement, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in security operations, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role (preferably in oil & gas or large-scale construction projects)
• Experience in driving, with a valid driver’s license as an added advantage.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in surveillance monitoring, security risk assessment, and contractor management.
• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and report writing.
• Ability to work under pressure and respond effectively to security incidents.
• Training in First Aid, Basic Life Support (BLS), and self-defense is an added advantage.
