Job Summary
Responsible for supervision of earthworks operations on the production site.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Control and monitor work instruction progress in consultation with civil superintendent, Supervisors and Project Engineers.
- Supervise the survey team for approval of final well coordinates prior to start of site activities.
- Plan & allocate site earthwork crews as per drilling priorities for well pad location & construction. Liaise with QA/QC and other required Departments on a day to day basis.
- Perform detailed supervision, to ensure a quality installed scope of work which meets project specifications and procedures for all earth works including interface coordination with Electrical, Instrument, Mechanical and Drilling Groups as applicable.
- Liaise with the surveying contractor(s) to ensure correct set outs for all works.
- Cross check with mechanical / piping and rotating equipment supervisors to ensure correct location of all foundations and ensure joint check sheets are completed correctly as applicable.
- Provide timely information to the project team to enable adequate resources to be allocated to areas under their responsibility.
- Designing effective and sustainable drainage systems using both modern software and proven engineering principles.
- Preparing reports and documentation for regulatory approvals and compliance.
- Supervising the installation of drainage systems to ensure adherence to design specifications.
- Maintaining and optimizing existing drainage systems to enhance functionality and extend lifespan.
- Responding to emergency situations involving system failures or blockages
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience.
- Certificate in Civil Engineering or in a related field or training/certificate with 10 years of experience in a related role will be considered in lieu of the required Certificate.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in the earthworks and drainage works in a construction industry,
- Advanced knowledge of surface mobile and civil equipment management.
- Advanced knowledge of tool & equipment safety.
- Capable of leading and managing craft and non-craft employees.
