Job Summary
Responsible for supervising, planning, and coordinating construction, maintenance, and repair in line with storm drainage, water and sewer facilities and systems, and solid waste collections, processing, and disposal functions
Duties & Responsibilities
- Monitor construction activities on site to ensure finished work is by design, drawings, specifications, and requirements
- Manage the production of as-built records from site works.
- To ensure delivery of quality services in compliance with specifications, through maintaining adequate site inspection records to address non-compliance issues.
- Ensure that comprehensible method statements and risk assessments are available to and understood by those undertaking works and that the requirements are implemented.
- Operates a variety of machinery, equipment, and tools associated with department projects
- Conducts on-site work reviews
- Coordinates work activities; prioritizes and assigns daily work activities; monitors the status of work in progress and inspects completed work
- Assign and coordinate work crews in performing planned construction and maintenance work on pipelines, storm drain concrete, tunnel inlet facilities, creek side inlets, and detention and water quality ponds to produce a finished product to required standards.
- Ensures traffic control is set up in construction zones.
- Ensure drainage right of way
- Monitors daily worksheets, vehicle inspection sheets, and vehicle accidents.
- Ensures work and safety standards are being maintained and schedules are being met.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
- Ordinary Diploma in Engineering or related
- High knowledge in excavation and resurfacing, advanced ability in coordinating multiple aspects of drainage maintenance workforce, advanced knowledge of equipment, and procedures associated with drainage operations, Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Minimum of 15 years of work experience
