Mining Engineer - Drilling (m/f) 

 

 

 

You will be responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing drilling operations for blasting and Grade Control Drilling in mining activities. You will coordinate drilling operations while taking into account the mine’s geological and geotechnical characteristics and production objectives, and ensuring compliance with the quality and safety standards established by the company and applicable laws. Ensure and monitor drilling operations in compliance with legal regulations, aiming for maximum blasting efficiency and minimization of environmental impacts. Monitor and evaluate the performance of Drill & Blast plans, adjusting practices and methodologies to optimize results and reduce costs. Provide training and technical support to the operational team.

 

 

Job Requirements and Competencies Profile

 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or related fields;
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in Drill operations at open-pit mines;
  • Advanced knowledge of drilling techniques with a special focus on down-the-hole drilling machines;
  • Knowledge of drilling software;
  • Certification in operational safety;
  • Fluency in English;
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet established deadlines;
  • Teamwork;
  • Analytical skills;
  • Problem-solving;
  • Resilience;
  • Willingness to relocate.
