Mechanical Project Manager

Glan Agua are seeking Experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join our growing water and wastewater business. As a Mechanical Project Manager you will be responsible for the successful delivery of the Project or Projects assigned to you from a budget, programme & Safety prospective from concept through to handover, while understanding and agree the clients project requirements.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for delivering all aspects of the project from planning through implementation to final account stage
  • Supervising the work of Junior Project Managers, Project Engineers and Foremen
  • Management of EHS on site
  • Communicate and coordinate with clients, contractors, consultants and the design team
  • Attend and participate in all project related meetings on behalf of the company
  • Responsible for technical submittals
  • Overseeing an entire mechanical element of the project to ensure high quality installation
  • Ensure compliance with programme, materials, quality and safety issues
  • Programming, planning, coordinating and reporting of all mechanical activities
  • Management of a multidiscipline team on a variety of large and medium sized projects

Requirements:

  • Mechanical background - A relevant third level qualification would be an advantage but not essential
  • 6-10 years' Project Management / Senior Engineering experience
  • Mechanical construction experience essential
  • Proven track record of having led teams on large and medium projects
  • Ideally have worked with an M&E Contractor in Ireland or the UK
  • Must have good commercial awareness and be a client facing individual
  • Must be driven and be able to work off their own initiative
  • Ensure the successful execution of assigned projects
  • Be commercially and contractually aware and understand the scope, restraints and responsibilities of contracts entered into by the company
  • Establish project resource requirements and lead / motivate the project team
  • Day to day management of subcontractors and site team
  • Evaluate subcontractors and suppliers performance against their scope of supply
