Safety and Environement Technician (SHEQ) (EN) 




Oversee the implementation and enforcement of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures across all operational areas.Lead and manage the HSE team, providing guidance, support, and training as necessary. Develop and maintain the HSE management system, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company standards. Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and risks, and take proactive measures to mitigate them. Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and implement corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.Coordinate with other departments and external stakeholders to promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship. Monitor and analyze HSE performance metrics, and prepare reports for management review. Participate in emergency response planning and drills, and ensure readiness to handle emergencies effectively. Stay abreast of emerging HSE trends, technologies, and best practices, and incorporate them into the organization's HSE programs.Represent the company in HSE-related meetings, forums, and regulatory inspections.


Job Requirements and Competencies Profile


  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field;
  • Proven experience in HSE management roles, preferably in mining (2 years) or construction settings (5 Years);
  • Solid knowledge of ISO 9001; ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards;
  • Solid knowledge of MS Office tools and AutoCAD (preferential);
  • Driving licence (mandatory);
  • Fluent in French (spoken and written);
  • Communication effectiveness;
  • Planning and Organization;
  • Team work;
  • Mobility availability.
