Mobility Business Development Manager

About the role
ME-Renewing is expanding its zero-emissions mobility business, looking for new markets, partners and opportunities to accelerate fleets transition to zero emission vehicles. Reporting to the Mobility Business Unit Manager, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving market growth and developing zero emissions solutions for fleet decarbonization. This role focuses on both demand and supply sides, ensuring market alignment with emerging zero emission vehicles while pushing for innovative solutions to position the company as a leader in electric mobility. This role is pivotal in providing innovative solutions to accelerate the decarbonization of ICE fleets, complemented by ME-Renewing's expertise in Charging and Energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Demand-Side: Market Surveillance & Development
- Conduct comprehensive market assessments to identify and quantify business opportunities.
- Analyze market trends, opportunities, and gaps and propose market positioning and solutions.
- Develop and execute business development strategies to expand into new markets and accelerate fleet transitions to zero-emission vehicles.
- Set up surveillance system for market segments including Public and Private Transport, Logistics and Urban Services.
- Identify and establish partnerships with key stakeholders, including fleet operators, governments, and vehicle manufacturers, to drive demand for zero-emissions mobility solutions.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure that ME-Renewing’s zero-emission solutions, including charging and energy services, are effectively aligned with market needs.
- Analyse market trends and competitive landscapes to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation in the electric mobility sector.
- Manage relationships with key clients and partners to drive business growth, with a focus on fleet decarbonization projects.
Supply-Side: Technology Surveillance & Solutions Development
- Conduct market surveillance and track emerging technologies, vehicles and innovative solutions in the electric mobility market.
- Work with RENEWING business units and partners to drive innovation and differentiation in electric fleet solutions.
- Monitor advancements in electric buses, trucks, and urban services vehicles.
Market Development & Go-To-Market Strategy
- Assist in defining the company’s market positioning and potential market entry strategies.
- Lead market push initiatives like events, meetings, and marketing strategies.
- Execute market pull strategies including monitoring public tenders, preparing bids, and fostering cross-sales with the Energy and Charging Business Units
Candidate requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Management or a related field combining management and technical solutions. Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in business development and B2B sales, preferably in electric mobility, automotive or related sectors.
- Strong understanding of fleet operations, electric vehicle (EV) technologies, and the mobility ecosystem.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strategic relationships with partners, clients, and stakeholders.
- Experience in market analysis, identifying growth opportunities, and driving new business initiatives.
- Strong market and technology analysis skills.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proficient English language abilities to effectively communicate in both written and verbal forms.
- Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software applications.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as required.
- Ability to adapt to flexible workdays as required.
