Function Mission

 

The Warehouse Manager oversees the efficiency of the warehouse activities within the construction site. Responsible for managing inventory, coordinating logistics, and ensuring the timely delivery of materials and equipment to the site. Works closely with project managers, procurement teams, and construction crews to support the successful completion of construction projects.

Responsibilities

May include but are not limited to:

 

  • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, track stock movements, and ensure proper use of materials and equipment in the warehouse.

 

  • Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely ordering and delivery of materials needed for construction projects.

 

  • Plan and schedule deliveries of parts and consumables to construction sites, coordinate transportation, and optimize routes for efficient material movement.

 

  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and shelving systems to ensure safe and efficient operations.

 

  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and regulations to create a safe work environment for warehouse staff and ensure compliance with OSHA standards.

 

  • Inspect incoming materials for quality and accuracy, conduct regular audits of inventory, and address any discrepancies or issues.

 

  • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, order fulfillment, and equipment maintenance, and generate reports for management as needed.

 

  • Monitor and control warehouse expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and optimize warehouse operations to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.

 

  • Implement process improvements, adopt best practices, and seek ways to streamline warehouse operations and enhance overall efficiency.
     

Professional Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in parts/consumables/fuel stock and warehouse management, preferably within the construction industry.
  • Experience in SAP Equipment & Tools Management
  • Minimum of 5years experience in a similar role.

 

 

 

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of inventory management, logistics, and supply chain operations.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations.
  • High level of integrity, ethics, and professionalism.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
