Senior Accountant (m/f)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to support the financial management and accounting activities of our operations in Ethiopia. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with local regulations, and supporting project financial management.

Key Responsibilities

•    Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure compliance with local accounting and tax regulations.
•    Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
•    Manage general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processes.
•    Monitor project cost accounting and budget tracking.
•    Support cash flow management and financial forecasting.
•    Assist with external audits and statutory reporting requirements.
•    Ensure proper documentation and reconciliation of financial transactions.
•    Liaise with internal teams and headquarters on financial matters.
•    Support the implementation and maintenance of ERP systems (e.g., SAP).

Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
•    Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) is an advantage.
•    5–8 years of accounting experience, preferably in construction, engineering, or project-based environments.
•    Strong knowledge of financial reporting, taxation, and compliance in Ethiopia.
•    Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
•    Strong analytical and organizational skills.
•    Fluency in English required; knowledge of Amharic is an advantage.
