SUMA

SUMA

SUMA has three decades of experience at the service of the environment and the people, and since 1996 it has held a leading position in the national waste sector. Supported by the solid foundations of Mota-Engil, it has travelled a path of leadership and entrepreneurship, becoming a benchmark in Portugal and in the international markets in which it operates.

The result of a strategic association of four dozen companies with wide-ranging and distinctive operations in Portugal and abroad, SUMA strengthens and consolidates its competences in the field of integrated waste management, offering multiple solutions within the complete life cycle of waste.

The integration of various specialised operators makes it possible to broaden SUMA's scope of action, providing complete services to support the circular economy - reintegration of raw materials - quality control and the environmental literacy of the population, such as the treatment of different waste streams, laboratory analyses and environmental education.

The combination of synergies between the various companies favours the logistical management of all the equipment, responsiveness, solidity, quality of service and competitiveness.

With a globalising strategy, SUMA assumes a high degree of commitment and participation in order to respond to the ever-renewing challenges of increasing public demands, new regulations, constantly changing environmental issues and growing levels of market competition.
