We have an exciting opportunity to join our accounts team, as an accounts payable assistant.



  • Compiles Accounts Payable reports in an accurate and timely manner and distribution of same to relevant stakeholders.
  • Interprets the meaning of financial information on vendor accounts and provides feedback to vendors on their respective accounts as needed.
  • Supports the AP Manager in preparation for weekly payment runs
  • Reconcile vendor statements in conjunction with recorded data on financial system (SAP)
  • Answer switchboard phone calls (shared responsibility) and administer any Accounts

Payable calls as needed

  • Review, post and prepare employee Travel and Expenses for payment in line with internal procedures and protocols on a monthly basis
  • Adhoc support within the Accounts Payable department during times of absence i.e. printing and analysing of invoices from centralised email accounts
  • Booking of hotel, flights & accommodation (short term)
  • Assists with ad-hoc projects as they arise


  • Preferably have relevant experience within a Finance & Administration background
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced working environment and quickly build positive working relationships
  • Willingness to learn and develop within the role and organisation
  • Proven initiative and customer focus driven
  • Proficient in time management and delivers work on time, and ability to work autonomously
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to self-motivate and self-prioritise with minimal supervision
  • Team player who is enthusiastic about collaborating with others to get the job done
  • Process and policy focused and demonstrates enforcement of same


  • 1-2 years Finance and or Administrative experience relevant to the role
  • Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills
  • Ability to resolve issues and propose solutions to issues that arise on a day-to-day basis
  • Ability to focus on multiple tasks, while meeting all deadlines
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite, in particular MS Excel and SAP Software
  • Familiarity to daily collaboration of Microsoft Teams
  • Demonstrates a good team spirit and works well with others
